Now in its tenth year, the Manilva International Festival is an opportunity for the different nationalities which make up Manilva’s multi-ethnic community to showcase their culture, arts and gastronomy.

The Foreigners Department, has begun preparations for this year's X Manilva International Festival, which will be held from Friday, 29th to Sunday, 31st July on the Paseo Maritimo in Sabinillas.

This provides an opportunity for visitors to the festival to discover the traditions, cuisine and culture of the various countries participating in the event.

Participating countries this year include: Spain, England, Germany, Chile, Lebanon, Peru, Bolivia, France, Morocco, Thailand, Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia, Israel, and Ecuador.

Programme:

Friday 29

9.00 pm - Opening ceremony by the Mayoress and her Councillors.

9.15 pm - Introduction to the Festival by Argentinian poet - Walter.

9.30 pm - Performance by the Municipal Flamenco School.

10.20 pm - Billy Robins sings Sinatra.

11.00 pm - Turkey.

11.30 pm - Venezuelan Drumming group.

Midnight - Spanish music.

Saturday 30

11.00 am Children's games and activities on the Paseo Maritimo.

9.00 pm - Senegal

9.30 pm - Traditional music and dance from Paraguay.

10.00 pm - Ecuador

11.00 pm - Yplacea Dance. Belly dancing.

11.20 pm - A performance of Moroccan music.

11.35 pm - Traditional and modern Argentinean dance.

11.45 pm - Colombia.

Midnight - Paraguay.

00.15 am - Venezuela.

Sunday 31

11.00 am - Children's games and activities on the Paseo Maritimo.

9.00 pm - Cuba.

9.30 pm - Moroccan Ladies' Fashion Show

10.30 pm - Thai Dancing

10.45 pm - Brazil.

11.00 pm - Venezuela.

11.30 pm - Jazz

11. 45 pm - DJ Grande Gordo Papa - Reggae DJ
