Manilva celebrates its annual summer fair each year during the second week of August. This year the dates are from Wednesday, 6th August to Sunday, 10th August inclusive. Apart from the cavalcades most of the activities focus around the fairground on the Rio Manilva Road.

Programme 

Wednesday, 6th August

11 pm The official opening ceremony and the switching on of the illuminations at the Recinto Ferial - the fairground on the Rio Manilva road.
11.30 pm Music and dancing in the main pavillion with the group “A Compas”.
Midnight Coronation ceremony for the Queens and Maids of Honour for this year’s August Fair followed by music and dancing until the early hours.

Thursday 7th August

11 pm Flamenco show performed by the Municipal School of Flamenco directed by Inmaculada Chacón.
This is followed by music and dancing into the early hours of the morning with the resident bands “A Compas” and “Al Andalus”.

Friday, 8th August

Grand parade through the streets of Castillo de la Duquesa and Sabinillas: Castillo - 7.30 pm and Sabinillas 8.00 pm.
10 pm Music and dancing in the main pavillion.
12 midnight. In the main pavillion a performance by the singer “El Arrebato” who will be performing songs from his latest album “Mundología”. Entrance 5€. Followed by music and dancing into the early hours with the resident bands.

Saturday, 9th August

8.00 pm Grand parade through the streets of Manilva town.
10.30 pm Music and dancing into the early hours of the morning with the resident bands “A Compas” and “Al Andalus”.

Sunday, 10th August

10 pm Flamenco show performed by the children of CEIP Pablo Picasso school in Manilva.
10.30 pm Music and dancing into the early hours of the morning with the resident bands “A Compas” and “Al Andalus”.
