16th April - Excursion to Medina Sidonia
One of Cadiz province's 'White Villages' Medina Sidonia has a rich and varied history. The trip will take in various places of interest including Puerta del Sol, Convent of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (Convento de las Descalzas) and other sites.
You will then enjoy lunch in a typical local restaurant with free time afterwards to take a stroll through the picturesque streets. Trip leaves 9.30 am and costs 30 euros per person, including return coach travel, tourist guide and lunch.

23 rd April - Flamenco Dinner
Come and enjoy an evening of traditional food in a friendly atmosphere with music and dancing to local flamenco performers. Price 20 euros per person includes dinner, a drink, and coffee or dessert. Venue to be announced.

12th May - Visit to The Patios of Cordoba
Cordoba's Patios Festival, is celebrated every year since 1964 and has become famous around the world. Locals throw open their gardens and terraces to visitors who can enjoy the riot of colours and scents created by the green-fingered residents of the city. There is no itinerary so visitors can go where they wish. Why not visit the Los Jardines de Los reales Alcázares gardens, La Mezquita and the old Jewish Quarter.
Coach leaves 8 am and the trip costs 20 euros per person including return coach travel, guided visits and breakfast.

20th May - Lecture "Motoring in Spain"
Brian J. Deller, author of the book "Motoring in Spain"will give an informative talk on the rules and regulations regarding driving in Spain.
The talk starts at 5.00 pm in the Edificio Usos Multiples, Sabinillas. Date to be advised.

28th May - Flamenco Spectacular and Gala Dinner
Situated in the heart of Manilva's vineyards, and enjoying fabulous views of the Coast “El Lagar de Herrera” will be the venue for this event. Featuring the flavour of Mediterranean cooking with an Andalucian ambience, all combined with a flamenco show by local artists. Price per person 20 euros. Places limited so book now with the Foreign Residents Department. Date to be confirmed.

2nd to 17th June - Open air exercise classes
Take part in the first open air exercise classes which will be held in the exercise parks and on the beaches during the month of June. Our specialist trainers will provide instruction in a number of different activities designed to be both fun and healthy.
These classes will take place on various days between 10 am and 1 pm. Classes cost 6 euros per course of 8 days. The price includes water and a hat.

Saturday, 19th June - Grand Barbecue
A chance to celebrate the end of the Spring programme of events and look forward to the summer with a grand barbecue to be held at the La Hedionda Roman baths. Along with the great food and drink there will be entertainment from the local musical association ASABAM.
Fun starts at 1 pm and costs 15 euros per person. Book your place at the Foreigners Department office at the Castle in Castillo or in the Edif Usos Multiples, Calle Miguel Delibes, Sabinillas.

Spanish language classes for foreigners
Spanish teacher Even holds Spanish lessons for foreigners in the Edif Usos Multiples, Calle Miguel Delibes, Sabinillas. There are classes for all abilities from beginners to advanced. For more information call 952 893 838.

The Foreign Residents office can be found in the Castle in Castillo de la Duquesa and is open from 8 am to 3 pm, Mondays to Fridays, to help and advise with any problems incurred by foreign residents registered in the municipality of Manilva.
