Also known as the Japanese Sago Palm

Height: 3 m
Spread: 2 m

This primitive plant is not actually a palm, but more closely related to the conifer family.

It is very slow growing, which is one of the reasons nurseries (viveros) charge so much for them!

Although pretty resilient it does prefer a light, loamy and moist soil, preferably in light shade.

Also makes a good pot plant whilst young.

This specimen can be found just outside Carrefour in Estepona.
