Dragon Tree

The Dragon Tree is an evergreen tree with stiff lance-shaped leaves, slow growing. Mature trees bear orange berries, after which the tree may become branched (see picture).

Prefers a sunny aspect and will not tolerate frosts.

Care: Leaves die back from the bottom up. Dead leaves can be removed with a sharp downwards tug (it is advisable to wear gloves when doing so) if the leaf resists leave it for a week or two.

This specimen can be found on the Paseo between Castillo and the Port just behind the Las Gaviotas chiringuito.
