Manilva Carnival 2012

Manilva celebrates Carnival this Saturday February 25 with a busy afternoon and evening of activities and entertainment including fancy dress competitions for both children and adults, a parade through the streets of the municipality with children's entertainers and Brazilian band, and an evening of music and dancing.
Programme for early detection of breast cancer

Women between 50 and 75 years of age in the municipality of Manilva can now have their periodic reviews, as part of the programme of early detection of breast cancer, at the La Lobilla health centre in Estepona, which now has a digital mammography machine.
The Departments of youth, sport and development offer lifeguard courses
Marcos Ruiz, Councillor for Youth, along with the area manager, Manuel Chaves held a meeting recently with one of the leaders of the Andalucian School of Lifesaving. The meeting was held to confirm the terms of the Lifesaving Course that will take place in the municipality.

February 23 is the deadline to enroll in the Aula Blanca
Manilva’s Education Department is now enrolling pupils for this year’s Aula Blanca. Parents have until February 23 to enter their children for this activity which will take place from February 27 to March 2. It’s an initiative organized by the department of education, directed by Eva galindo, intended for school children from three to twelve years of age, who are on holiday during Semana Blanca.
