Almost a year and a half ago local residents were dismayed when the breakwater in Duquesa was closed to the public.
The breakwater was a popular stroll for residents and visitors alike, and there was great disappointment when it was fenced off and gated. This week the local authorities have announced that, after weeks of negotiations with the port operator, Marinas del Mediterráneo, the gates will be opened, and once again the public can enjoy this amenity. For safety reasons the gates will be locked after 10 pm.
