| Estepona Port
Only
10 minutes drive away from Puerto de la Duquesa is it's twin marina
at Estepona Port. As well as being a sports and leisure marina,
Estepona is also a busy commercial port and home to a large fishing
fleet.
If you visit the port early
in the morning you can watch the fish being landed and auctioned
before being packed in ice and shipped off to the local markets
and restaurants.
The Port also features numerous
bars restaurants and shops to cater for all tastes and pockets.
Like Duquesa, vehicular traffic is restricted which gives the
harbourside a relaxed ambience.
Estepona Port also has a
vibrant nightlife which goes on to the early hours of the morning,
making it popular with the younger set.

behind it and also the lighthouse at the eastern end of the port

being between 1.5 and 4 meters with a rocky bottom.
Mooring
Berths: 433 ranging from 8
- 35m long and 1.5 - 4m deep
There are plans to enlarge
the port and increase the number of berths. These are at quite
an advanced stage but are awaiting the results of environmental
impact studies.
If
you are already moored at the waiting jetty, you should visit
the Control Tower to fill in a mooring application form and to
present the boat's documentation, insurance policy, and the identity
cards or passports of all the crew. Once this procedure has been
completed, you should proceed to move your boat to the mooring
that has been allocated to you.
If
you arrive outside office hours, the form should be filled in
with the duty officer, who can be found in the hut on the waiting
jetty. For future reference, please note that you can contact
us on channel 9, so that we can allocate a mooring in advance
of you arrival. A sailor will assist you during the mooring procedure.
All
moorings are supplied with water and elecricity. Boats of more
than 8 metres in length may choose, if their stay is to be a short
one, between the fixed fee or meter reading charge. If you are
staying for less than a day, the fixed fee option is preferable,
thus avoiding the inconvenience of having to settle your bill
just before departure.
On payment of a deposit of
12,02€, you will be given a key to the jetties and for the
Washroom facilities. Please use these facilities with the utmost
care.
